rogers at&t wireless
When the Ontario president at Rogers AT&T Wireless wanted to create a consistent Vision and Values for all 1,500 employees, Ann and her team worked closely with Human Resources to develop and launch a comprehensive program. The internal communications deployed to support the launch of the Vision and Values included special events, contests and meetings with the president, as well as integration into the company’s reward and recognition program, compensation and employee performance appraisals.
domtar
While consulting to Domtar and its pulp and paper mill in Trenton, Ontario, Ann developed a strategic communications plan to help improve employee morale and productivity. She put in place a new employee task force, regular staff meetings, a reward and recognition program, employee bulletin boards, special events and a communications process which alerted the Montreal headquarters of mill successes. The morale boosting initiative extended into the community. After successful meetings with the town council, local media, school board trustees and key influencers, information about the mill’s outstanding environmental record and economic contribution to the area became better known and instilled pride in the mill’s workforce and ultimately improved its on-the-job productivity.
rogers at&t wireless and royal trust
While at both Rogers AT&T Wireless and Royal Trust, Ann coordinated numerous senior management off-site meetings. Whether the meeting was designed to build team-work, develop a Q4 strategy or work with outside consultants to identify the company’s core competencies, Ann managed everything from the event objectives and theme, to all logistics and presentation content. She was often charged with developing the plan that flowed out of the meeting and ensuring its successful implementation.
